VILLAGE OF HARRISVILLE ANNUAL MEETING SUMMARY

 

The Annual Meeting of the village was held on June 6, 2011 at 7 pm at the village offices in the Joint Town-Village Office building. This is a summary of important information from the meeting. This summary is for information only and NOT the official minutes of the meeting which will be published later.

 

REGULAR MEETINGS

 

All regular meetings of the Village of Harrisville Board of Trustees are open to the public and are scheduled for 7 pm at the Town of Diana/Village of Harrisville meeting hall, 5959 Old State Road Extension, Harrisville, NY. At every regular meeting, provision is made for members of the public to speak. Those who wish to address the board about an issue that may require research are encouraged, but not required, to call the village office and ask to be put on the agenda. However, all who wish to speak may do so.

The next annual organizational meeting of the village will be June 4, 2012.

 

The procedure for calling special meetings is outlined in Village Policies, Section A150-3 paragraphs B and C.

 

APPOINTMENTS AND DESIGNATIONS

 

The following appointments and designations were made at the 2011 annual meeting.

 

  • Deputy Mayor: William Kellerhals, Jr.

  • Clerk-Treasurer: Nancy Williams

  • Street/Water Superintendent: James Seymour

  • Part time clerk: Sue Newcomb

  • Budget officers: Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer

  • Attorney: Mark Gebo, Hrabchak, Gebo and Langone. P. C.

  • Historian: Vacant

  • Registrar: Janet Taylor

  • Deputy Registrar: Tom Best

  • Zoning Enforcement Officer: James Seymour

  • Park Commission: LeRoy Davis, Chair, James Durkish, Eric Schmidt, Paul Kielmier, Jay Seymour

  • Zoning Board of Appeals: Chad LaPlatney (3 years, term expiring June 2014), Jessica Jenack (2 years, term expiring June 2013), Brian Wohnsiedler (1 year, term expiring June 2012)

  • Official Depositories: Community Bank, NA and NY CLASS

  • Travel allowance: $ 0.40 per mile

  • Official Newspaper: Watertown Daily Times

  • Procurement & Investment Policies were reviewed and remain the same.

  • Audit Committee: Board of Trustees

  • Designated receivers of mail: Mayor Davis and Trustee Bearor

  • Fire and Rescue Committee: Mayor and Deputy Mayor.

 

  • Robert's Rules of Order will be followed at meetings.

 

  • Advance approval of claims is limited to utilities, payroll, postage, freight & express charges and allowing the mayor, trustees and village employees to attend training and conferences.
