Demolition of the old village hall on State Street will not occur on Monday, Ocober 13 as scheduled.  Contractor scheduling problems have caused a delay of perhaps a few days according to sources.

At the September village board meeting the bid from Kascon, LLC or Waterville, NY was accepted to demolish and remove the debris from the old village office and DPW located on State Street in the village. 

The Village of Harrisville office and meeting room have been moved to the Harrisville Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. fire hall on Church Street in the village. 

Deterioration of the building on Main Street made it necessary to move the village office from its former location.   The mailing address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address are the same.  Only the physical location of the office has changed.

The village board, under the leadership of newly elected mayor Sheri Smith Young, is developing a plan for a permanent solution to our building difficulties.
