Budget Hearing
Special Board Meeting
The Village Board held its annual budget meeting and a special Board Meeting on April 29, 2010 at the Village Hall. Present were Mayor Young, Trustees Dashnaw, Davis and Kellerhals and Clerk Williams. Trustee Hunter was absent.
Mayor opened the hearing and special meeting at 7:00 PM. The Board discussed the budget figures and some ways to cut back on expenses in several accounts. The Clerk reported on fund checking accounts' balances as of 04/29/10 and CLASS fund balances as of 03/31/10:

No one from the public attended the hearing. A motion to adopt the 2010-2011 village budget with the following amounts was made by Kellerhals, seconded by Davis.
General Fund Appropriations - $360,308
General Fund Estimated Revenues $ 92,572 (other than taxes)
Fund Balance used for budget - 64,000
2010-2011 Tax Levy $203,736
Water Fund Appropriations - $64,581
Water Fund Estimated Revenues - $64,581

Chad LaPlatney appeared to talk to the Board, asking the village to write a letter to the Fire Dept. requesting members to do their best to conserve energy by turning unused lights off, keeping truck bay doors closed as much as possible, etc. He also asked if the Village would pay for butterfly valve and fittings for the truck at a cost of $1,475. A motion to allow Fire Dept. to order them and the Village to pay was made by Kellerhals, seconded by Dashnaw.

A motion to close the budget hearing at 9:15 PM was made by Davis, seconded by Kellerhals.

There being no more business, a motion to adjourn the special meeting at 9:15 PM was made by Dashnaw, seconded by Davis. All were in favor.
